Andrea Grandson NT NANP

Andrea began battling with health issues after a childhood vaccination at the age of 12 months resulted in a 5 day stay in isolation in hospital as she fought a raging temperature. Thereafter she began experiencing the symptoms of chronic kidney disease, which included recurrent urinary infections, that led to six years of taking liquid antibiotics

After years of continuing poor health on medication that did nothing but create other symptoms such as chronic candida and lethargy her mother decided it was time for a change and took her to visit a highly regarded medical doctor who also practiced homeopathy.

Taking homeopathic remedies Andrea was able to stop taking antibiotics, and quickly returned to good health. Her hospital consultant continued to monitor her progress and she never needed the antibiotics again! That was the beginning of Andrea’s road to healing which brought her to the discovery that food, in particular sugar, would trigger symptom again. When her diet was “good” she felt good…and when her diet was “bad” she felt bad!

Andrea has a passion for supporting her clients to regain good health. In 2008 she Founded the Nutrition Helpline after graduating from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London where she graduated as a Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist.

Today Andrea specializes in the field of metabolic health, the whole range of biochemical processes that occur within us, which if out of balance cause fatigue, stress, problems maintaining a healthy body weight and poor digestive health.

In 2017 Andrea incorporated bioenergetics (energy therapy) and botanical medicine into her practice which enables her to address both the physical and energetic health of her clients.

Outside of private practice Andrea is an active and current member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. In 2014, she joined the Board of Directors as Secretary; today she is the Education Programs Specialist where she performs in-depth reviews of educational programs, seminars and continuing education submissions. Andrea also hosts “The Scoop,” NANP’s monthly educational webinar, providing advanced and specialized Nutrition Education.
